Antony Mor Naam

Entony is denied a father before birth, and his mother hands him over to Father Joseph while he is still a child. Growing up as an orphan, he drifts into a string of offences. The law calls them crimes, yet the common people see him as something close to a saviour.

He steals and robs, but for the benefit of society. Self-styled social workers and officials promise to serve the public while squeezing the poor, and Entony breaks the law in order to strip the masks off these respectable figures.

In the end he surrenders to the police at his mother's plea. The court clears him, and he finds his family again.

The film was made under the Saikia Enterprise banner and produced by Dharmakanta Saikia. Nip Barua directed, and the writing is credited to Nip Barua and Mahendra Borthakur. Nalin Duwara handled the camera. Ramen Baruah composed the music, with lyrics by Keshab Mahanta. The cast includes Reba Phukan, Abdul Majid and Biju Phukan.
