Baruar Sansar is an Assamese film released on 2 October 1970, directed by Nip Barua. It was adapted from a popular radio serial of the same name broadcast by All India Radio, Guwahati.

Production নিৰ্মাণ

The film was produced under the banner of Rajjyoti Cine Art by Manoranjan Agarwala, Devaranjan Agarwala and Nibha Barua. Nip Barua wrote the screenplay from the story of the popular radio serial Baruar Sansar by the dramatist Prafulla Barua. Most of the scenes were shot at the Tamulbari tea garden, the birthplace of Jyotiprasad Agarwala.

The cast included Tasaduk Yusuf, Brajen Barua, Nipon Goswami, Biju Phukan, Anima Bhatta, Bina Baruati, Niren Barua, Pratibha Thakur, Rani Pathak, Biranchi Bhattacharya, Golap Sharma and Dr Chandan Pathak. Ramen Barua composed the music, and the songs were sung by Dwipen Barua, Nirmala Mishra and Runumi Bhattacharya.

In Nip Barua's filmography, Baruar Sansar came after Amar Ghar (1959) and Narakasur (1962) and was followed by Soontora (1973) and Soonma (1977).
