Pokhi is an Assamese drama directed by Jahnu Barua, released in 1998 as the second film of his trilogy. It won the National Award for the best feature film in Assamese.

Story কাহিনী

The story centres on Pokhi, a girl who has lost both parents and is raised by her uncle and aunt in a remote village in Assam. When the couple move to the city, they leave her with a respectable, childless family.
