Story কাহিনী

The title character is a miserly woman from a lower-middle-class family whose behaviour draws laughter from the audience. Another central woman is Karabi, who has no known father, is gentle and emotionally fragile, and lives with her mother. She is blameless, yet society holds her responsible. Her mother, in contrast, is a strong woman who understands the depth of life's problems.

Nabin, the main male character and Mohimamoyee's nephew, is a modern and thoughtful young man who takes a firm stand against the injustice done to Karabi.
