Story কাহিনী

Kallol is a rebellious, symbolic film about class conflict in a feudal society. The feudal lord is a zamindar, Anangaprasad Choudhury (Barua), and the local fishermen are his bonded subjects: they catch the fish but the zamindar takes the largest share.

Choudhury is furious when the fishermen fail to land a very large fish. Mani, a defiant young man who pays the zamindar no deference, manages to catch it. In the end the fishermen rise in revolt against the zamindar, with Mani leading them.
