Bisesh Erati (1979) is an Assamese horror film directed by Upen Kakati, better known as a composer and songwriter. It is regarded as the first Assamese film in the horror genre. Biju Phukan plays the lead.

Production নিৰ্মাণ

The screenplay was adapted from a story of the same name by Lakshminandan Bora, who reworked the tale afresh to suit the screen. The film was made through the initiative of Upen Kakati and funded by contributions from the public.

Kakati also composed the music and wrote and tuned the songs. The playback singers were Bhupen Hazarika, Kul Barua, Anima Bhattacharya and Rina Sharma.
