Wide Angle

The story, adapted from Nagen Saikia's short story about a staff photographer, is set against the Assam Movement. Dilip Bhagawati, a press photographer, faces a range of challenges in supplying photographs of the agitation to the daily newspaper he works for, and the consequences gradually affect his personal life and family.

The film also looks at the part played by Assam's students during the movement, the contribution of musicians, the active involvement of local people, love and betrayal, and the heavy hand of the police and administration.

Debajyoti Bora produced the film under the banner of Swavalamban Media and Entertainment. The cast includes Tapan Das as Dilip Bhagawati, Aparna Dutta Choudhury as Antara Bhagawati, Pabitra Baruah as Pradip Dutta, Jwoli Laskar as Banti Dutta, Zubeen Garg as Gautam Sharma, Dipankar Dutta Baruah as Babalu and Dhyani Mohan as Borsha Saikia.
