Story কাহিনী

The story centres on land encroachment affecting some satras in Assam, and follows young people and thinkers shaped by the state's economic and political climate, exploring their state of mind and inner conflicts.

Kinkar is a teenager from a satra, closely tied to the traditional dance and music inspired by Srimanta Sankardeva's neo-Vaishnavite movement. Though rooted in tradition, he has a modern outlook and takes the problem of illegal intrusion into his homeland seriously. Later he faces an inner struggle between the nonviolence he has learned and an intolerance that grows out of circumstances. That conflict shapes his journey as he looks for a path between tradition and duty.
