Arun Nath is an Assamese actor born in Tezpur. He took a science degree in 1973 and had been drawn to performance since childhood. He began on the stage and entered cinema with Bohagor Duporia, going on to appear in more than fifty Assamese films.

Among the best known are Bohagor Duporia, Kolahal, Sarothi, Othello and Agnisnaan. Our database also lists him in Sri Raghupati, Pratyavartan, Love in Tawang, Borhxaranya, Antareen, Calendar, Tumi Muk Faki Dila, Seema - The Untold Story, Janaknandini and Goru. Besides films he has worked in telefilms, Doordarshan serials and Assam's travelling theatre.

His wife, Krishna Das Nath, is an actress and dancer. He has been honoured with the Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha Award, and in 2025 the Nalbari district committee of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad announced the Bhaben Baruah Award for him.
