Story কাহিনী

The story is set during the Second World War in Borapadumoni, a village untouched by the turmoil of the war. Premadhar and Jona, a married couple, have no children after many years, and the village gossips about it.

A man named Golap settles in the village after serving fourteen months in jail. Posing as a patriot, he wins over the villagers by various tricks and brings discord into the couple's marriage. He also barges into the quiet life of Makhan, a former schoolmate who is now a land officer, and humiliates him.

Golap eventually has a change of heart. He rescues a young woman, Moina, who had been kept for the pleasure of visiting soldiers, and hands her to Makhan as a sister. A child is finally born to Jona and Premadhar.
