Biography জীৱনী
Kopil Bora is an Assamese actor, anchor and All India Radio voice artist from Guwahati. He began his film career in Bidyut Chakravarty's Gun Gun Gane Gane (2002), and his film Mon was released the same year.
He has appeared in many Assamese films. Among those in our database are Bukuwe Bisare, Ahir Bhairav, Jeevan Baator Logori, Jetuka Pator Dore, Dwaar, Ajeyo, Raag and Kothanodi. In Dwaar (2013) he played Dwijen Bhattacharya, a mentally ill character, a performance that drew critical praise.
Beyond cinema he works in the theatre, including productions at Rabindra Bhawan in Guwahati, in Assam's mobile theatre troupes such as Ashirbad and Rajmahal, and in television serials. He has also hosted musical talent shows and cultural events, and narrated the documentary Friends of Kaziranga (2010).
