Kanchanjangha

Zubeen Garg plays the lead in an action drama he wrote himself, supported by Pabitra Rabha, Pinky Sharma and Sasanka Samir.

Garg wrote the story and screenplay and directed the film, which he co-produced with Garima Saikia Garg and Shyamantak Gautam under Eye Creation Productions and Zeal Creations.

It was released on 6 September 2019 in 69 theatres in Assam and in cities including Hyderabad, Cochin and Chennai, and collected 40 lakh rupees on its first day. A gross of about 7 crore rupees over five weeks made it the highest grossing Assamese film until Ratnakar, released a month later, overtook it. In its fourth week it passed the Northeast record set by Baahubali 2 and the earlier Assamese record of Mission China. It is currently listed as the fifth highest grossing Assamese film.

In Zubeen Garg's filmography, Kanchanjangha came after Tumi Mor Matho Mor (2000) and Mission China (2017) and was followed by Roi Roi Binale (2025).
