Jog Biyog

Niru and Dipak, who comes from a wealthy family, become close, and Niru finds she is expecting a child. With no other option she approaches Doctor Phukan. Through his efforts Dipak agrees to marry her, but on one condition: to protect his reputation, Niru must end the pregnancy. The doctor agrees, for a fee of ten thousand rupees, and Niru is to stay some months at his nursing home.

The two marry and have a daughter, Dipa. As Dipa grows up she becomes close to Paran, the son of a friend of Dipak.

A parallel thread follows Nayan, a village boy who promises to marry Jaya, a girl from his village. He goes to the city to study engineering and, once qualified, takes a job at Dipak's factory. In time, events take a different turn.

Dwiban Baruah directed the film and wrote its story and screenplay. Supraba Devi was the producer. Ramen Baruah composed the music, Keshav Mahanta wrote the lyrics, and Anil Dasgupta was responsible for sound recording.

The cast includes Dr. Hadi Alam Bora, Ila Kakati, Moazzin Ali, Nirada Bhuyan and Dr. Munin Baruah, with Bhola Kakati, Dhiru Bhuyan, Girin Baruah, Gouri Baruah, Master Siddhartha, Baby Manjula, Bidyut Chakraborty and Baby Machu in further roles.

The film's single surviving print was recovered in a deteriorated condition in 2013, and it was then shown on television through Doordarshan.
