Story কাহিনী

Mohan Chaliha is a retired major who brings military temper to everything and forgets all when angry. His son Biman studies in Guwahati and lives in a mess at the house of a widow, Mrs Gupta, with three friends. Taking advantage of his father's failing, Biman gets money twice a month and spends it on fun with his friends, while Mrs Gupta struggles to keep them in line.

When the son's trick is exposed, the Major arrives at Mrs Gupta's house and a great quarrel is about to break out. A young woman is caught in the middle, and events end with the Major, Mrs Gupta, the four boys and the young woman all at the police station.

Left at the house are the cook Kachanmati, the Major's servant Pilot and a hammer. The hammer sets off one incident after another and in the end resolves every problem.
