Story কাহিনী

Assam has long had boundary disputes with most of its north-eastern neighbours, and Nagaland is no exception. In an Assamese village near the Nagaland border lives a young man, Simanta, who loves a Naga girl named Akali.

A Naga miscreant sets the Assamese village on fire. The house of Dharani and Aiti burns down and their infant disappears. Everyone assumes the baby died in the flames. In fact the child has been found on the other side of the border by a childless Naga woman, who takes the baby to her chest with a mother's tenderness.
