Prastuti Parashar (also spelled Porasor), born 15 December 1981 in Jorhat, is an actress of Assamese cinema, television and the travelling theatre. She began acting around the age of five in the Doordarshan Guwahati serial Barnali, and made her film debut in Maharathi (1999). Her father was Bijoy Chandra Sarma, former principal of Jagannath Barooah College.
Her films in our database include Jiban Nadir Duti Paar (2002), Hriday Kapowa Gaan (2004), Suren Suror Putek (2005), Raamdhenu (2011), Paglee and Doordarshan Eti Jantra (both 2016) and Mriganabhi (2017). She won a state film award for Gun Gun Gaane Gaane and was nominated for best actress at the Moonlight Awards in 2008-09. She has also acted in some thirty to thirty-five plays.
