Anurag Saikia is a film score composer, music producer and instrumentalist from Moran in Upper Assam. He studied at Cotton College before joining the Swarnabhumi Academy of Music in Chennai. His parents are both steeped in Assamese music and culture: his mother is an All India Radio artist and teacher, and his father is an academic honoured for work on folk music.

He came to notice with Yugadrashta, whose score won him the Rajat Kamal for Best Non-Feature Film Music Direction, making him one of the youngest composers to receive it. In Assamese cinema he has composed the music for Chor: The Bicycle, Ishu and Maj Rati Keteki, alongside Yugadrashta.

His career has since extended well beyond Assam, to Hindi films such as Article 15 and Thappad and to web series, and he has worked with singers including Sonu Nigam and Arijit Singh. He is also known for arranging Borgeets, the devotional songs of Assam, for a symphonic orchestra.
