Story কাহিনী

The film is set mostly in a tea estate in Sepon, Assam. Its central thread is Sagar, an idealistic teacher who leads a group of young people in a fight against corrupt officials, using education as their weapon. The climax is built around a Jhumair song, the highlight of the Karam festival.

Jayanta Nath directed the film and also composed its music. The cast includes Aimee Baruah, Bishnu Kharghoria, Rajkumar, Rimpi Das, Prince, Trishna Kurmi and Labin Das. The dialogue mixes Assamese and Sadri, the common language of the tea-garden communities. The running time is 130 minutes and it was released on 12 July 2013.

Reception সমালোচনা

The film won Best Film other than Assamese at the Prag Cine Awards 2014, and a Moonlight Media Award for Best Music Director.
