Hitesh Kakati is a retired teacher who lives happily with his wife Manorama in a small town. Their newly married son Arunav lives in Delhi with his non-Assamese wife, and everyone in the family is fond of one another. That changes when Arunav comes home during Magh Bihu and confides a serious professional problem to his mother, who decides to help him in her own way.

Manorama keeps a record of her month on a calendar that Hitesh gave her at New Year, marking each event with a circle and a label. A few dates carry circles with no label at all, and tracing them leads to a different story that devastates Hitesh.

Himjyoti Talukdar directed for Enajori Talkies, with Moloya Goswami, Arun Nath, Gunjan Bhardwaj and Rimjhim Deka. The film was shot at Dergaon, Golaghat and Jakhalabandha. A teaser appeared on 27 February 2017, the Central Board of Film Certification passed it on 13 December 2017 and it opened on 16 February 2018. Tarali Sarma composed the score and three songs, sung by Siddharth Hazarika, with two lyrics by her and one by Santanu Rowmuria.

Calendar opened to good word of mouth in theatres across Assam, with audience numbers climbing through the run and many viewers saying on social media that it made them reflect on their relationship with their ageing parents. It won seven awards at the Prag Cine Awards North East 2018, and Arun Nath received the Jury Special Award for his performance at the second Guwahati International Film Festival.
