Indrajit's friend, played by the veteran stage actor Phani Sarma, is among the key roles.

Production নিৰ্মাণ
After Joymoti failed commercially, Agarwala had spent more than fifty thousand rupees and was in debt. He managed to raise just fifteen thousand for a second film and began shooting in late 1937. This time he did not use Chitraban Studio for outdoor scenes, choosing instead the family's Talbari at Harigaon, two kilometres from Tezpur's Mission Chariali. The whole outdoor shoot took seven days, with the camera often fixed in one place while sets and actors changed, and used over fifteen thousand feet of film.
The eight-member unit then went to Kolkata for the indoor scenes, built at Arora Studio in Narkeldanga. Only nine major roles were cast. Manoviram Barua and Raseswari Baruah played the lovers, and the thirteen-year-old Bhupen Hazarika acted and sang Biswa Bijoyee Navajowan. Agarwala also appeared in the film. Casting was easier than for Joymoti.
