Jupitora Bhuyan is an actress born in Guwahati in 1983, who studied at Tarini Charan Girls School and Handique Girls College. After a first television appearance around 2003 she entered Assamese cinema in 2005 with Sibanan Baruah's Hiyar Dapunot Tumare Sobi, and has also acted in VCD films and Assamese mobile theatre, where she played lead roles for Kohinoor Theatre opposite Jatin Bora in 2008.
In the Fita database she appears in Tumi Jodi Kuwa (2013), a musical romantic drama directed by Simple Gogoi, and in Jahnu Barua's Ajeyo (2014), where she shared the lead female billing with Rupam Chetia and played a Muslim character. She is known for strong, striking roles, and joined the Trinamool Congress in 2023.
