Hiranya Deka is an actor of Assamese cinema and mobile theatre from Darrang district, Assam. Known for his distinctive facial expressions, wit and comedic delivery, he is widely recognized as one of the most beloved comedians of contemporary Assamese entertainment.
His film credits in our archive include Deutar Biya (1997), Daag (2001), Jonaki Mon (2002), Kanyadaan (2002), Juman Suman, Maghor Mamoni and Suren Soror Putek. Alongside his work on the silver screen, he has performed for decades on Assam's travelling mobile theatre circuit, including Kohinoor Theatre, Bordoisila and Hengool Theatre, where his comedy plays have been major box office attractions.
