Gonga Chilonir Pakhi

Basanti, a young village woman in a small town in the 1960s, is caught between two men. After the death of her husband Mathura she begins to dream of a new life with her old lover Dhananjay, but he does not return her feelings, and she is left to live as a lonely widow. Her elder brother Bhogram, his wife Taru and the house cleaner Monbori are among the household.

Padum Barua directed the film from Lakshminandan Bora's novel of the same title, whose name translates as Feathers of the Tern.

The film was released in 1976.
