Anur

The film is a story of loneliness and love in old age, based on the short story Bhal Poar Xomoi by Anuradha Sharma Pujari. It follows Anupama, whose son lives abroad.

Directed by Monjul Baruah, with Rajat Kapoor, Jahanara Begum, Boloram Das and Rajashree in the cast. The film runs 162 minutes.

Anur premiered at the International Film Festival of Kerala in 2022 and won Best Feature Film in Assamese at the 69th National Film Awards. Kalpa Jyoti Bhuyan of The News Mill wrote that it will affect most those old enough to look at the past through the binoculars of time, and the North East Film Journal called it a film that will captivate with its unique perspective on loneliness and love in old age.
