Urmila Mahanta is an actress from Sonapur, Assam, who trained at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. After stage plays, Doordarshan serials and acclaimed short films, she made her feature debut in the 2012 Tamil thriller Vazhakku Enn 18/9, and has since worked in Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam and Assamese cinema.
In Assamese cinema our database lists her in Kothanodi (2015) and Antareen (2017). She made her Assamese feature debut with TRP Aru in 2014, and she also appeared in Tarali Sarma's album Henguliya. She won the Best Actor (Female) award at the Assam State Film Awards for 2015-16.

অসমীয়া চলচ্চিত্ৰত আমাৰ তথ্যভঁৰালত তেওঁৰ নাম আছে 'কথানদী' (২০১৫) আৰু 'অন্তৰীণ' (২০১৭)ত। ২০১৪ চনত 'TRP আৰু'ৰে তেওঁ অসমীয়া ছবিত প্ৰৱেশ কৰে, আৰু তৰালি শৰ্মাৰ 'হেঙুলীয়া' এলবামতো অভিনয় কৰে। ২০১৫-১৬ চনৰ অসম ৰাজ্যিক চলচ্চিত্ৰ বঁটাত তেওঁ শ্ৰেষ্ঠ অভিনেত্ৰীৰ সন্মান লাভ কৰে।
