Manas Jyoti Gogoi, known as Manas Robin, is a music director, singer, lyricist, filmmaker and Bihu artist from Sivasagar, Assam. He began with his first solo album Niharika in 1995 and gained popularity with the 1999 album Barasha. In 1999 he became the youngest person to score music for an Assamese feature film, Priya O' Priya, and has since composed for more than 20 Assamese features.
His film work in our database includes Kokadeutar Ghar Jowai, Aiyei Jonak Biheen Jivan, Junbai, Champa and Jilmil Jonak. He has directed music for over 500 albums in Assamese and other languages of the region, including work for Bhupen Hazarika and Zubeen Garg, and he runs his own banner, Manas Robin Production.
His Bihu-style VCD album Jonbai, made under that banner and released in several volumes, was especially popular.
